Frequently Asked

How many guests can The Sloe Barn accommodate?

Are you licenced for civil ceremonies?

Not yet. We currently host celebrant led ceremonies, giving you complete freedom over where and how you marry. From the walled garden to the barn courtyard, the choice is yours.

Do we have exclusive use of the venue?

Yes. From midday the day before your wedding until midday the day after, the barn, courtyard and gardens are exclusively yours. We host only one wedding at a time.

Can we choose our own caterers?

Yes. We keep catering flexible, whether that's a favourite caterer, a food truck, a buffet or something more informal. Our prep kitchen can also support a more formal sit down meal or canapes. Not sure where to start? We're happy to share local trusted recommendations at your viewing.

What time does the bar close and music need to end?

Last orders are called at 11.30pm and music finishes at midnight. Guests should depart by 12.30am, giving you plenty of time to enjoy an evening of good food, dancing and celebration.

What happens if it rains?

We always have a wet weather plan. Ceremonies, dining and dancing can all take place within the barn, ensuring the day runs smoothly whatever the weather.
